Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Total joint replacement classes

Patients who are more informed and active participants in their care experience better surgical outcomes. Education also helps to ease anxieties about upcoming procedures. This is why we encourage all patients undergoing hip and knee replacements to attend our Total Joint Replacement class prior to surgery.

This class covers presurgery preparation, patient responsibilities, how to prevent complications, pain management and the recovery process, including rehabilitation. Total Joint Replacement Classes are held Wednesdays 9:00am to 10:30am at our hospital.
