Heart screening and imaging
Oviedo Medical Center offers a variety of diagnostic services to assess your heart's conditions. Our team is able to perform:
- Cardiac catheterization
- Echocardiograms (ECGs)
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Peripheral vascular angiography
- Renal angiography
- Stress testing
Our cardiac catheterization lab is equipped with a specialized imaging system that allows doctors to see the blood vessels of the heart. During catheterization, X-ray dye is inserted into the coronary arteries to detect any blockages.
Heart attack care
Most of the damage sustained from a heart attack occurs within the first two hours. If recognized during this time period, the heart attack can be treated before the heart is compromised.
